The Hebrew word "ביזיון" translates to “disgrace,” “contempt,” “fiasco,” or “mess.” A fiasco, in turn, means a great failure or flop.
Lina Lev has worked for several years with the human body, states of shock, and trauma research, focusing on the effects of war and violence, as well as their opposites—peace and harmony. Her particular interest lies in the body’s memory—as a living monument of war and the stories it carries. For her research, she conducted interviews with people in Germany and Israel and transformed these narratives into movement.
She has applied these insights in her work with refugees and children who have experienced trauma, racism, or other forms of disgraceful behavior, aiming to bring light and empowerment into their lives.
